Job summary

dfhextcareersite is seeking a Vice President of Purchasing to provide senior leadership for purchasing, estimating, and design to support efficiency, quality, and cost control. The role oversees takeoffs, estimates, and construction drawings, leads supplier negotiations, and ensures contract compliance across communities.

Requirements include 10+ years in purchasing leadership for high-volume production homes, a business-related bachelor’s, and proficiency with procurement software and MS

Qualifications

• Ten years of purchasing management experience in new home construction
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
• Proficiency with NewStar Enterprise or equivalent procurement software and MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing, estimating, and design functions; manage SOPs and department expenses
• Ensure all new and existing communities are contracted and accurate
• Negotiate subcontractor pricing to achieve cost reductions
• Oversee takeoffs, estimates, and construction drawings; manage bid processes and VE
• Develop relationships with trade partners and suppliers for cost and quality improvements
