Job summary

NexForm is seeking a results-oriented Director of Purchasing to lead direct material, indirect material, and freight sourcing across the Americas. You will own the sourcing strategy, manage a two-person team, and drive cost savings without compromising quality or on-time delivery.

Reporting to the CEO, you will partner across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Finance to align supply strategy with business goals. The role is hybrid with weekly travel between facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering or comparable field.
At least 10 years in purchasing, sourcing or procurement with direct people-leadership experience.
Experience negotiating high-value supplier agreements and owning a departmental budget.

Responsibilities

Set sourcing strategy for direct/indirect materials and freight across the Americas.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of two purchasing professionals.
Own supplier selection, RFQ strategy, and major supply agreements negotiations.
Lead indirect sourcing categories including MRO, services, supplies, and capital equipment.
Own freight and logistics sourcing, carrier selection, rate negotiations, and mode optimization.
Hold the supply base accountable for quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Set and deliver annual cost-reduction and value-engineering targets.
Own the purchasing budget and P&L accountability for material spend.
Monitor commodity markets and pricing exposure; shape pricing strategy.
Direct sourcing readiness for new product launches and program milestones.
Own supply risk mitigation planning and resolve major supply disruptions.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Finance.
