Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and supply chain operations for a manufacturing/distribution environment in the United States. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, vendor negotiations, and process improvements with ERP systems, analytics, and automation driving efficiencies.

You will collaborate with executive leadership to build and develop a high-performing purchasing team and implement cost-reduction strategies across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Purchasing experience in Distribution or Manufacturing for Commercial customers.
• 2+ years of Management/Leadership experience, including direct supervision.
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and KPI reporting.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI tools and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing operations, including inventory management, demand planning, and vendor negotiations.
• Oversee and develop the purchasing team across multiple locations.
• Optimize inventory levels, purchasing costs, and supplier performance.
• Leverage ERP systems, advanced Excel, and analytics to improve purchasing decisions.
• Implement automation and technology-driven process improvements.
• Analyze purchasing trends, lead times, and inventory carrying costs.
• Partner with leadership to develop and execute purchasing strategies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain efficiencies.
