Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and supply chain operations for a growing organization. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, vendor management, and process improvements using ERP systems and analytics to drive efficiencies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Purchasing experience in Distribution or Manufacturing for Commercial customers.
• 2+ years of Management/Leadership experience, including direct supervision.
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and KPI reporting.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI tools and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing operations, including inventory management, demand planning, and vendor negotiations.
• Oversee and develop the purchasing team across multiple locations.
• Optimize inventory levels, purchasing costs, and supplier performance.
• Leverage ERP systems, advanced Excel, and analytics to improve purchasing decisions.
• Implement automation and technology-driven process improvements.
• Analyze purchasing trends, lead times, and inventory carrying costs.
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute purchasing strategies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain efficiencies.
