Job summary

X-energy, Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Commercial Supply Chain leader to own strategic sourcing, contract execution, and supplier relationships for TRISO-X operations. You will negotiate with sole-source and long-lead suppliers under FAR/DEAR, ensuring nuclear quality and regulatory compliance in a high-stakes DOE-regulated environment.

The role requires leading a purchasing organization, mitigating risks, and aligning with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or business from an accredited university or college (or four years of equivalent professional experience).
• Typically, ten plus years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain function.
• 4-7 years of experience managing a purchasing program and department, strongly preferred
• Familiarity and demonstrated success working within highly regulated, nuclear or similar industry (chemical, automotive, pharmaceutical etc).
• Strong demonstrated contract administration skills and ability to decipher and manage business risk.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Supply Chain by providing guidance and training to other staff members and exhibiting leadership.
• Act as a surrogate for the Director by representing Purchasing in leadership meetings and serving as backup when the Director is unavailable.
• Perform as the Business Services/Supply Chain SME for supplier negotiations, contract language approver and liaison with enterprise Legal staff.
• Provide strategic guidance on supplier management, project execution strategy, and supply system development.
• Oversee negotiations with suppliers on contract costing, schedule, and Terms & Conditions.
