Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Procurement Engineer to own the supply chain strategy for nuclear projects. You will build and lead a supplier base, develop category plans, and negotiate terms to meet project schedules and cost targets.

You will drive risk management, supplier qualification, and contract strategies across engineering and procurement teams while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science required.
• Typically ten years of experience in engineering or supply chain roles with at least two years in supply chain.
• Experience with supplier negotiations.
• Experience developing project plans, schedules, and costing models.
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
• Technical knowledge about manufacture, operation, and maintenance of power plant components.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop equipment and service suppliers to establish a robust supply chain.
• Develop strategic supply chain plans delivering value to the company and customers.
• Create project-specific execution plans to meet schedule and cost goals.
• Prepare category plans, perform spend and risk analyses, plan negotiations.
• Negotiate contract cost, schedule, terms, and technical requirements.
• Develop long-term strategic supplier agreements to meet objectives.
