Job summary

Standard Nuclear, Inc. is seeking a Technical Purchasing & Sourcing specialist to support engineering, manufacturing, and facility operations at our Oak Ridge facility. You will work with suppliers to obtain quotes, verify specifications, and ensure purchases meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.

The role focuses on PO creation, delivery tracking, and supplier coordination, with opportunities to improve lead times and procurement processes in a fast-paced nuclear manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing in a technical environment.
• Ability to read technical specs, drawings, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Source components, equipment, materials, and services per engineering and operations requirements.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders from placement to delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality to clarify requirements and support supplier selection.
• Track orders, lead times, and supplier performance; resolve delivery issues.
