Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO, seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead the buying team and ensure uninterrupted production by managing the material plan and supplier base. The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and cross‑functional collaboration across production, engineering, finance, and quality.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years in procurement/supply chain, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and experience with MRP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in procurement management and/or supply chain management.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field OR an additional 4 years of experience in direct Supply Chain Management roles.
• Experience with MRP systems (reporting, structuring data, understanding how systems function).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing staff to ensure high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Assist Strategic Sourcing team to develop and maintain a robust supplier base that supports quality, cost, delivery, and innovation goals.
• Foster strong cross‑functional collaboration with Production, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Sourcing.
• Ensure accurate execution of the material plan from purchasing, warehouse, and shipping teams to support uninterrupted production and on‑time shipments.
• Analyze and update part usage planning models in MRP system (Infor Syteline).
• Implement best practices in procurement processes, documentation, and workflow standardization.
• Execute and evolve the material strategy, focusing on resilience, diversify and enhance supplier collaboration, improve quality, and shorten lead times.
• Support with budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Problem solve and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and execution of LEAN principles.
