Job summary

In-Situ, Inc. in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement execution and material-flow activities that support manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.

This onsite role will develop the Buyer team and ensure delivery from PO through receipt to production or R&D. You will analyze demand, forecasts, inventory, POs, and supplier commitments to mitigate risks and partner with Strategic Sourcing on cost reduction and supplier transitions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in materials management, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• At least 3 years leading supply chain or materials teams.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory-control processes.
• Knowledge of purchasing, material planning, MRP, inventory control, receiving, and warehouse practices.
• Experience turning data into action from demand, forecast, or supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Buyers with clear expectations and standard work.
• Direct daily purchasing and materials execution to align with production schedules.
• Analyze demand, forecasts, inventory, POs, and supplier commitments to mitigate risks.
• Lead supplier escalations for shortages, delivery, quality, and capacity.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing on transitions, dual sourcing, and cost reduction.
• Support new-product introductions, engineering changes, and S&O processes.
• Lead cross-functional improvement on material availability and KPIs.
• Improve materials processes via Lean, Kaizen, Visual Daily Management, ERP, and MRP.
