Job summary

Velocity Resource Group seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead the end-to-end supply process, overseeing procurement, strategic sourcing, and day-to-day buying. The role ensures materials and services meet quality, quantity, cost, and time targets while controlling inventory and supplier risk.

Responsibilities include setting min/max levels, managing cycle counts, leveraging NetSuite for vendors and POs, and driving KPIs such as on-time delivery and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Experience in negotiation, bid analysis, material planning, inventory control, and supplier management.
• Strong reading of specifications, drawings, and schedules.
• Proven ability to manage purchasing processes with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and inventory management, setting min/max and reorder points.
• Monitor stock, open orders, and shortages; act before production is affected.
• Plan cycle counts and reconcile variances; improve receiving and inventory control.
• Utilize NetSuite to manage vendors, pricing, POs, and inventory data.
• Oversee purchasing policies, supplier performance, and KPIs including on-time delivery.
