Newberry Tanks & Equipment in Memphis, TN is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to support purchasing, inventory, and material-planning operations. You will ensure PO accuracy, track supplier commitments, and keep inventory data current.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of POs, supplier confirmations, receipts, inventory transactions, and invoice matching.
• Basic Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams skills.
• Strong numerical, organizational, recordkeeping, follow-up, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and following up on open items.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders from requisitions and instructions.
• Verify item numbers, descriptions, quantities, prices, dates, suppliers, approvals, and delivery locations before PO release.
• Obtain supplier confirmations and keep dates, pricing, lead times, etc. accurate in Sage 100.
• Monitor open POs and follow up on confirmations, deliveries, shortages, discrepancies.
• Expedite materials per priorities and communicate delays or supply concerns.
• Provide planning with supplier commitments, shortages, delays, pricing differences, substitutions, quantity changes, risks.
• Support receiving, transfers, inventory adjustments, location changes, and physical inventory.
• Research differences between physical inventory, POs, receipts, and Sage 100 balances.
• Assist Accounts Payable with pricing, quantities, receiving, and invoice discrepancies; maintain docs.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, lead times, order quantities.
• Support Sage IRP/MRP and NETSTOCK data cleanup, validation, testing.
• Collaborate with Material Planning, Operations, Warehouse, Inventory, Engineering, Quality, and AP to resolve issues.
• Participate in process improvement and cross-training.
