Closet Factory Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage materials, supplier relations, and order tracking in a hybrid work setting. The role balances desk duties with hands‑on shop support to maintain production schedules.

You will coordinate purchases, optimize pricing, monitor inventory, and assist in receiving and quality control. This position emphasizes collaboration with operations, vendors, and production teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective material flow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years purchasing experience.
• Proficient with Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Experience in inventory management and analytics.
• Ability to follow existing processes and develop new ones.
• Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory control (cabinet/closet manufacturing a strong plus).
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable negotiating pricing with vendors and tracking multiple orders.
• Ability to read job plans / cut lists or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and place purchase orders for materials, hardware, sheet goods, finishes, and supplies.
• Consolidate orders to leverage bulk purchasing and reduce shipping costs.
• Maintain vendor pricing, lead times, and material catalog accuracy.
• Track open orders and ensure timely delivery; update stakeholders.
• Manage warranty, RMA, and return processes with vendors.
• Assist with weekly cycle counts and monitor inventory levels.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
• Label, stage, and distribute materials to departments or job packages.
• Support shop with light tasks such as material prep, organization, and restocking.
