Job summary

Responsibilities

Compile requests for materials, prepare purchase orders and track purchases and supplies.
Compare prices, specifications and delivery dates to select best bid.
Maintain good vendor relationships and ensure timely deliveries.
Determine inventory levels and place orders to meet needs.
Track departmental inventory and maintain records.
Handle questions and complaints professionally and promptly.
Follow internal controls and purchasing procedures.
Coordinate with receiving to ensure proper flow of orders.
Expedite urgent purchases and emergency deliveries.
Maintain catalogs and resource libraries.
