Job summary

Prairie's Edge Casino Resort in Granite Falls, MN is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control across departments. This full-time exempt role operates Monday through Friday during daytime hours and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities cover negotiating terms, processing orders, maintaining records, and supervising Shipping & Receiving staff while ensuring adherence to company policies and cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or a related business field.
• Associate's Degree in Procurement, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing systems, databases, spreadsheet software, internet applications, and word processing software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication skills.
• Must pass a State and Federal background check and pre-employment drug screening (which does test for THC).

Responsibilities

• Develop, identify, evaluate, recommend, and select sources for materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Direct and coordinate activities related to purchasing and distribution of materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors when necessary.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and purchasing documentation.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of goods ordered, received, and distributed.
• Coordinate emergency and special purchase requests to meet departmental needs.
• Assist departments in establishing inventory levels and inventory control procedures.
• Resolve vendor concerns, disputes, and supplier claims.
• Supervise Shipping & Receiving staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and payroll preparation.
