Job summary

Dana Safety Supply is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to work with the Purchasing Manager, coordinating product purchases and vendor communications to ensure timely delivery and accurate pricing. This role supports R&D and QA with document control and helps optimize inventory across warehouses.

The successful candidate will have strong purchasing experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate product is being delivered.
• Assist Research & Development and Quality Assurance with document control.
• Monitor all purchase orders, both outgoing and incoming.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with price control of product.
• Maximize Purchasing Opportunities by utilizing all Vendor Special Pricing.
• Maximize all inventory in stock for open orders making accurate decision on ordering product through a Purchase order or using stock on hand in all warehouses.
• Maintain Good Communication with Vendors.
• Ensure all pricing on Purchase order is accurate prior to submission.
