Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Purchasing Agent/Buyer to manage day-to-day purchase orders across our plants, ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and timely invoicing with Accounts Payable. You will source and negotiate materials and services, expediting orders and maintaining vendor records while promoting compliance and cost savings.

This is an on-site role with a strong focus on supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business or related field required.
• 2-5 years of purchasing/buyer experience.
• Experience negotiating, expediting orders, and managing supplier relations.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders diligently with follow-up on expedited orders.
• Negotiate with suppliers to purchase direct and indirect materials and services.
• Work with receiving and finance to expedite invoice payment and maintain vendor records.
• Feed supplier performance data to performance management and drive compliance.
