Job summary

Belimo, a global leader in energy‑efficient control systems, seeks a Buyer1 to manage purchasing for production in two USA plants and ensure materials are on hand to satisfy demand. You will expeditiously place and track orders, monitor SAP stock, and build strong supplier relationships to support production schedules.

You will leverage SAP, ERP tools, and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, resolve shortages, and align with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; high school diploma acceptable as alternative.
• 4+ years purchasing experience.
• Negotiation experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft programs and ERP systems.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Places, tracks and expedites orders with suppliers worldwide.
• Monitors stock levels in SAP daily to satisfy production demand.
• Pro-actively expedite orders to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain supplier contacts and partnerships.
• Support Team Leads and Senior Buyers for projects and tasks.
• Assist in locating new suppliers and obtaining quotes.
• Manage supplier shortages and daily activities for assigned commodities.
• Resolve quality cases related to suppliers.
• Assist in implementing market trends for responsible commodities.
• Collaborate with Warehouse to resolve goods receipt issues.
