Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Omaha, NE to support manufacturing supply chains. This role focuses on timely procurement of materials, components, and services, coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Sourcing to maintain cost-effective performance.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in SAP.
• Monitor delivery schedules with suppliers and track critical deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues with internal teams.
• Approve invoice pricing and quantities.
• Maintain purchasing data and set stocking levels.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, MRP, Sourcing, and Quality to procure goods and services.
• Prepare and execute purchase orders in SAP.
