Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Purchasing Agent/Buyer to process purchase orders in line with plant policies, collaborate with AP to ensure timely invoicing, and source materials and services. You will negotiate terms with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships to support operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or buying roles.
• Experience processing purchase orders and working with accounts payable.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and follow up on expedited orders.
• Negotiate with suppliers for direct and indirect materials and services.
• Coordinate with receiving and finance to expedite payments and close POs.
• Maintain vendor records, quotes, savings, and contracts.
• Promote compliant purchasing processes and user engagement.
