IWCO is seeking a Purchasing Agent to source competitive pricing for fine paper products and services, ensuring on-time delivery and quality. The role involves negotiating with suppliers, maintaining supplier relationships, and collaborating with internal partners to support production schedules.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent, 5+ years in manufacturing purchasing, and 3-5 years in MRO purchasing with rising responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in MRO purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

• Analyze, identify, and communicate sourcing constraints and opportunities; including cost savings and risks.
• Maintain JIT stock purchasing without risk of stock outages; identify and resolve issues before production impact.
• Manage procurement relationships; be the first contact for suppliers and internal partners.
• Negotiate with suppliers on key service and supply activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate transaction records in Megamation, Monarch, Verticent, and PSI systems.
• Provide back-up support for other Purchasing Agents.
• Conduct spend analysis; identify over-purchases and cost-savings opportunities.
• Work with A/P to resolve pricing or payment issues.
• Research alternative products or suppliers as needed.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
• Answer questions from scheduling, operations, or management about commodities.
• Perform other related duties as applicable.
• Exhibit excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Be highly organized to balance multiple priorities and changing needs.
