Job summary

Micro-Tronics, Inc. in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a Purchasing Agent to procure materials and services, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery for manufacturing operations.

The role requires at least 1 year of purchasing experience, plus familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing processes. This is a full-time, exempt position with a 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift, offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Three years minimum work experience - preferably in manufacturing/assembly.
• 1 year of experience in purchasing.
• Familiarity with special processing (anodize, heat treat, chem film, dry lube, passivation, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material requirements with Scheduling, Production, Sales, and Marketing to support short-term forecasting and prepare purchase orders accordingly.
• Evaluate daily MRP on an ERP system for assigned commodities to determine material supply needs and take appropriate actions.
• Research and evaluate new suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities.
