Job summary

Micro-Tronics, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Assembly Operator I to safely assemble components using mechanical fasteners and bonding agents per work instructions and blueprints.

You will utilize hand tools, fixtures, and pneumatic presses while ensuring quality requirements are met and documentation is accurate. The role requires setup capability with assistance, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical assembly experience or 2 years in precision manufacturing.
• Experience using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and blueprints.
• Must be able to recognize cosmetic and functional defects.
• Familiarity with adhesives and assembly processes.
• English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assembly equipment and tools at all times.
• Follow 5S standards and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Set up and run jobs with assistance.
• Assemble products using hand tools, fixtures, adhesives, and other approved methods.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Visually inspect components and final assemblies for defects.
• Record labor hours and quantities in the production system.
• Maintain and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
