County of Sonoma is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR team and direct a comprehensive program across multiple divisions. The role emphasizes workforce planning, policy interpretation, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and labor relations in a large public sector environment.

The ideal candidate will supervise managers, drive organizational development, and champion initiatives promoting equitable, efficient, and well-being oriented HR services.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or related field and four years of HR experience in a unionized environment; government experience desirable.
• Experience supervising and leading a diverse team in a public sector or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and collective bargaining environments.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as key advisor to executive management on workforce planning and policy interpretation.
• Oversee HR processes, tools, and initiatives to promote equitable, efficient, and service-oriented operations.
• Manage complex employee and labor relations matters, investigations, and performance management.
• Lead classification and compensation activities, including reviews and restructures.
• Coach managers on HR practices and policy compliance; deliver training.
