Job summary

Palmetto is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the HR Director in administering City HR programs, policies, and procedures. You will work on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, workers’ compensation, and compliance across the City.

The role requires independent judgment, the ability to handle high workloads, and collaboration with the HR Coordinator on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, public administration, or business administration.
• Three years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Experience with FMLA/ADA, recruitment, and workers’ compensation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day HR operations and support recruitment and onboarding.
• Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Administer and track FMLA, ADA accommodations, and leave programs.
• Maintain HRIS data and generate reports for decision-making.
