Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Controller in Georgia to lead accounting, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will partner with executive leadership to guide strategic financial decisions and maintain strong internal controls.

This role emphasizes GAAP/GASB compliance, ACFR preparation, and development of a high-performing finance team while supporting organizational planning and KPI analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years progressive accounting/financial management experience.
• Experience preparing or overseeing an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
• Demonstrated working knowledge of GASB standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead general accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure GAAP/GASB compliance across ledgers and reporting.
• Develop and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Oversee revenue recognition, reconciliations, AR/AP, and payroll processes.
• Manage month-end and year-end close with timely completion.
• Provide oversight of budget development, projections, and variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
