Job summary

North Carolina Council of District Attorneys seeks a Budget Manager in Wake County to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for the new agency. You will develop policies, align resources with statewide priorities, and provide guidance to leadership and program staff.

You will oversee budget execution, monitor expenditures, prepare narratives, and coordinate with the Office of State Budget and Management and other partners to ensure compliance with fiscal rules and reporting

Qualifications

Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of experience in business administration or a related field.
Experience with legislative budget development and budget execution preferred.
Experience in governmental accounting or budgeting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Direct and perform day-to-day budget maintenance, development, and execution, including establishing, monitoring, and realigning program budgets.
Monitor fiscal activities through monthly forecasting and analysis.
Prepare budget requests, expansion and continuation budgets, and supporting narratives.
Coordinate with the Office of State Budget and Management to execute budget and position adjustments.
Manage final certification of all budgeted funds and new positions.
