Job summary

State of North Carolina - Judicial Branch is seeking a Budget Manager to lead the Council’s budget function, developing and guiding financial strategies, and coordinating with statewide partners. The role involves hands-on analysis, budgeting policies, and reporting to leadership with a focus on responsible resource management.

You will collaborate with leadership, program staff, and state partners to translate priorities into sound budgets and practical support for the prosecution function.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university.
• Three years of experience in business administration or a related field, preferably governmental accounting or budgeting.
• Experience with legislative budget development and budget execution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Budget execution and oversight, including realigning program budgets and monitoring expenditures and projections.
• Budget development and position management, translating fiscal goals into monetary requirements.
• Coordinate with Office of State Budget and Management and agency staff for budget adjustments.
• Legislative coordination and external relationships, representing the Council with fiscal authorities.
• Establish and maintain fiscal records and prepare annual reports and narratives.
• Supervise budget personnel and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
