Job summary

Council of District Attorneys in North Carolina seeks a Budget Manager to lead the budgeting, analysis, and financial management for the prosecution function. The role translates statewide priorities into sound budgets and provides reliable financial information.

You will work with agency leadership, program staff, and state partners to establish fiscal policies, oversee reporting, and ensure compliance with procedures and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of experience in business administration or a related field, preferably in governmental accounting or budgeting.
• Experience with legislative budget development and budget execution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and perform day-to-day budget maintenance, development, and execution across multiple funding sources.
• Prepare budget requests, supporting analyses, and narratives.
• Coordinate with State Budget and Management and agency staff on budget adjustments.
• Maintain accurate budget data and ensure conformance with policies.
• Supervise budget personnel and provide guidance for timely completion.
• Communicate financial issues clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
