Job summary

The North Carolina Council of District Attorneys, established within the North Carolina Judicial Branch, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and financial reporting in NCFS. You will develop internal controls and policies to support statewide prosecutorial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Five years of accounting experience in a government agency; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting and budgeting processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, travel, grants and contracts, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for the new agency.
• Record, reconcile, and report financial data and assist with budget administration.
• Supervise a small fiscal team, manage workloads, and ensure timely, accurate financial services.
