Job summary

L.A. Care Health Plan in Los Angeles is seeking a Provider Relations and Performance Specialist III to serve as the primary liaison with the provider network, driving engagement and operational excellence.

You will lead provider-facing interactions, monitor satisfaction and performance indicators, manage complex issues from intake to resolution, and guide cross-functional teams with data-driven improvement strategies.

Qualifications

• Understanding of managed care operations and delegated risk environments.
• Proficient in developing corrective action frameworks and utilizing dashboards to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and SLA governance.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills for partnering with stakeholders.
• Preferred: knowledge of capitation, value-based care models, and provider contracting.

Responsibilities

• Manage provider-facing interactions with onboarding and ongoing education to ensure consistency.
• Monitor provider satisfaction indicators and performance trends to identify disputes and challenges.
• Facilitate provider forums and meetings to promote transparency and collaboration across provider segments.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of complex provider issues from intake to resolution and post‑resolution validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and leverage analytics to inform discussions and drive measurable improvements.
• Mentor staff and contribute SME knowledge to ensure adherence to policies and best practices.
