Job summary

DroneShield seeks a Proposal Specialist to own select proposal responses—RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other opportunities—across US (and occasionally international) defence and security markets, supporting regional Commercial Directors. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate, with on-site presence at Warrenton, VA preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in technology proposal development (defense/aerospace/dual-use)
• Excellent writing, editing, and structuring skills and ability to develop core content
• Independent organizational and project management skills to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
• Experience with defense procurement and government processes is highly desirable
• Ability to coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with offset programs and participation requirements in international markets
• Proficient in MS Office and document collaboration tools like SharePoint and Teams

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with Commercial Directors in vetting and evaluating inbound opportunities.
• Own and manage the full lifecycle of proposal responses from RFP review to final submission.
• Lead the writing effort across technical, management, and executive sections.
• Coordinate inputs from subject matter experts, commercial, legal, finance, and engineering.
• Establish and manage proposal plans, timelines, response matrices, and internal reviews.
• Run internal reviews and incorporate feedback to improve response quality.
• Contribute to building and maintaining a library of reusable content and boilerplate.
