Job summary

Mathematica, Inc. seeks a Proposal Development Associate to support the creation and submission of high-quality technical proposals.

You will work with proposal directors and cross-functional teams to coordinate activities, manage timelines, and ensure compliance with submission requirements throughout the proposal lifecycle. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 1–3 years of experience in proposal development or related field.
• Strong organizational and deadline management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Experience with proposals or RFPs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support full proposal development lifecycle and submit high-quality, compliant proposals within deadlines.
• Develop proposal schedules and compliance matrices, outlines, and other guiding tools.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, strategy discussions, and document key decisions and next steps.
• Organize proposal files and assist authors with background materials and standard language.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to align technical, financial, and administrative components.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain required information for proposals.
• Develop and compile key proposal components like timelines and staffing information.
• Coordinate quality assurance reviews and final submission support.
• Support business development activities for priority clients and growth opportunities.
• Assist with proposal-related trainings and provide guidance on processes and best practices.
• Contribute to analyses of proposal activities to support improvements.
