Job summary

Mathematica, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Development Associate to help plan, coordinate, and submit high-quality, compliant proposals. You will work with proposal directors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely submission and alignment with requirements.

The role supports lifecycle activities, develops schedules and templates, and coordinates with pricing and subcontractors to deliver complete, persuasive proposals. Prior experience in proposal or business development is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business administration, communications, public policy, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in proposal development, business development, or related field.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal/external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Support full proposal development lifecycle to plan, coordinate, develop, and submit high-quality, compliant proposals.
• Develop and maintain proposal schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, and tools to guide development.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, strategy discussions, and document decisions and next steps.
• Organize proposal files and assist authors with background materials, prior content, and standard language.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to align technical, financial, and administrative components.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain required information for proposals.
• Develop and compile project timelines, deliverables, staffing, and supporting materials.
• Coordinate QA reviews and proposal production including editing and final submission.
• Support business development activities for priority clients and non-federal growth.
• Provide trainings and guidance on processes, tools, and best practices.
