Mathematica seeks a Proposal Development Associate to support high-quality technical proposals from planning through submission. You will coordinate timelines, compliance, and cross-functional inputs with proposal directors and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, public policy, or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in proposal development, business development, or project coordination.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with internal and external partners.
• Ability to review complex information, follow detailed requirements, and produce compliant materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Experience supporting proposals or time-sensitive business development activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support full proposal development lifecycle: plan, coordinate, develop, and submit high-quality proposals.
• Develop and maintain proposal schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, and guiding tools.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, strategy discussions, and document decisions and next steps.
• Organize proposal files and assist authors with background materials and standard language.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to align technical, financial, and administrative components.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain required information for proposals.
• Develop key proposal components: timelines, staffing information, deliverables.
• Coordinate QA reviews and final submission activities.
• Support business development for priority clients and growth opportunities.
• Assist in trainings and guidance on processes and tools.
• Contribute to analyses to support continuous improvement.
