Job summary

Mathematica, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Development Associate in Princeton, NJ to support the end-to-end proposal lifecycle. You will coordinate schedules, funding considerations, and background materials across internal teams to ensure timely, compliant submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, public policy, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in proposal development, business development, or related field.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Experience supporting proposals or time-sensitive business development activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support full proposal development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, compliant proposals within deadlines.
• Develop and maintain proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and outlines.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings and strategy discussions; document key decisions and next steps.
• Organize proposal files and assist authors with background materials and standard language.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to align technical, financial, and administrative components.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants to obtain required information.
• Develop and compile project timelines, staffing information, and other materials.
• Coordinate QA reviews and final submission support.
• Support business development for priority clients and growth opportunities.
• Assist with trainings and provide guidance on processes and tools.
• Contribute to analyses of proposal activities for continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
