Job summary

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a dedicated Property & Casualty Account Executive to act as an outsourced risk manager for our valued clients and prospects. This role focuses on risk analysis through our Risk Management Assessment process and driving account management and renewal strategies.

The ideal candidate will lead client conversations, prepare proposals, and ensure accurate policy alignment while maintaining timely communication with all parties involved.

Qualifications

• Current state-issued insurance licenses in jurisdictions where clients or prospects are located.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain license status.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for client questions and requests.
• Lead conversations to identify coverage gaps and manage accounts.
• Present renewal strategies based on client needs.
• Prepare marketing submissions and proposals for new and renewal business.
• Deliver service timelines and value propositions at stewardship meetings.
• Ensure policy accuracy and alignment with proposed coverages.
• Respond to inquiries within a 24-hour window.
• Communicate with clients and insurers on coverages, rates, audits and billing.
