Job summary

Vallourec North America is seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager - Strategic Projects to lead and optimize the NA strategic project portfolio. You will oversee intake, evaluation, prioritization, governance, and executive reporting to ensure strategic value and alignment with business goals.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop decision-ready business cases, assess risks, and ensure projects deliver expected benefits while improving our strategic framework and portfolio

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management or related field.
• 5+ years of portfolio management, project finance, or strategic project experience.
• Advanced financial modeling including integrated P&L, cash flow, capital investment, scenario, sensitivity, and return analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage the North America strategic project portfolio, including initiative intake, screening, prioritization, sequencing, and periodic revalidation.
• Maintain an integrated view of portfolio priorities, phase-gate status, investments, expected benefits, risks, interdependencies, constraints, and resource demand.
• Lead portfolio governance and facilitate reviews, ensuring initiatives meet evaluation criteria and decision requirements.
• Provide executive-level reporting, analysis, and recommendations on portfolio performance, investments, and risks.
• Review Express Business Cases to confirm strategic rationale and readiness of new initiatives.
• Coordinate Deep Dive evaluations and development of decision-ready business cases.
• Evaluate and challenge business cases to provide leadership with a sound investment basis.
• Monitor portfolio performance and revalidation when scope, cost, timing, or assumptions change.
• Drive continuous improvement of the NA Strategic Projects Framework.
