Job summary

Rocky Mountain Prep is seeking a Managing Director of Strategic Projects & Operations to lead the Project Management Office and drive high‑stakes, cross‑functional work across campuses in Denver. This role reports to the Deputy Chief of Strategy and focuses on structured execution, change management, and strategic alignment with RMP’s big five goals.

The role requires a track record of building organizational systems, advising senior leaders, and delivering complex initiatives with discipline

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building organizational systems from scratch or improving them.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable plans with owners and timelines.
• Strong cross-functional project management skills, planning, risk management, and dependency mapping.
• Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across an organization.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance strategy with execution.
• Clear written and verbal communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Project Management Office and governance routines.
• Directly manage cross-functional initiatives spanning schools, operations, and strategy.
• Develop scalable project management processes, templates, and milestones.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and decisions early with clear recommendations.
• Visit campuses regularly and champion school-centered planning and execution.
