Job summary

Nucor Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest division in Fontana, CA. You will oversee complex detailing projects from estimating through completion, leading safety-first processes and coordinating with contractors, engineers and fabricators to maximize profits.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years in reinforced steel sales, detailing, fabrication, or related steel industry roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated construction project management experience or at least ten years in reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing or related steel industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure cost-effective and efficient supply of products and services.
• Provide total contract management of each project, including detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs.
• Oversee fulfillment of contractual obligations on assigned projects.
• Coordinate project requirements with contractor representatives, rebar installers, engineers and architects.
• Schedule detailing and delivery with contractors, detailers and production staff.
• Assist in processing change orders and obtaining customer acceptance.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers and customers.
• Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
• Help control financial aspects of contracts to protect the company and maintain customer relations.
• Formulate reports on progress, costs and scheduling.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
