Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking a seasoned project manager to lead complex detailing and contract management from estimating to final completion. You will coordinate detailers, products, and vendors while maintaining safety and customer service standards on site.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, scheduling, delivery, and cost control, plus guiding change orders and client communications to protect the company’s interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• At least ten years’ experience as a rebar detailer and/or demonstrated construction project management experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure supply of products and services cost effectively and efficiently.
• Provide total contract management of each project, including detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs using the company resources.
• Oversee efforts to fulfill contractual obligations on assigned project(s).
• Coordinate project requirements with contractor’s representative, rebar installer, engineer and/or architect using company guidelines.
• Schedule detailing and delivery with contractor, detailers, and production staff.
• Review changes to determine scope and document according to change order procedures.
• Assist in the change order process culminating in customer acceptance.
• Interpret and explain plans and terms to staff, workers and customers.
• Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
• Support Detailing Supervisor to control financial aspects of contracts and maintain customer relationships.
• Formulate reports on progress, costs and scheduling.
