Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Midwest in Newton, IA, seeks a Detailing Project Manager with extensive rebar and construction detailing experience. You will lead multiple detailers, manage estimates to delivery, and drive profitable project outcomes while maintaining a strong customer service focus.

You will review drawings and contracts, coordinate detailing, scheduling, and costs, and represent the company in meetings with contractors, engineers, and architects. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated construction project management experience or at least ten years’ experience as a rebar detailer.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure cost-effective and efficient supply of products and services.
• Provide total contract management of each project assigned, including coordination of detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs.
• Oversee efforts to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled on assigned project(s).
• Coordinate project requirements with the contractor’s representative, rebar installer, engineer, and architect using contract management guidelines.
• Schedule detailing and delivery with contractor, detailers, and production staff as needed.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and customers.
• Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
• Formulate reports concerning progress, costs, and scheduling.
