Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead K-12 construction initiatives from inception to completion. You will coordinate budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management while maintaining quality with owners, architects, and trade partners.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and at least five years of related experience, with proven leadership and communication skills to drive safety, teamwork, and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience working on K-12 construction projects.
• Excellent business judgment and strong client/subcontractor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead Suffolk Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to align with the Project Schedule.
• Represent Suffolk with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Build effective relationships with clients and the Suffolk project team.
• Review contracts, budgets, milestones, and values; plan for safety and mobilization.
• Maintain buy schedules, subcontracts, riders, and purchase orders; ensure insurance compliance.
• Log and manage shop drawings, change orders, and document controls.
• Coordinate trade buyout, scope definition, and schedule alignment.
• Attend and chair schedule/management meetings as needed.
• Manage requisitions, payments, liens, and payroll to ensure cash flow.
• Oversee project closeout: deliver manuals, warranties, and training.
