Job summary

Aspenational is seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator to convert blueprints into profitable bids. You will analyze technical documents, price labor and materials, and coordinate with vendors to secure favorable terms.

You will lead negotiations with subcontractors, monitor market trends, and work alongside project managers to keep projects on budget from kickoff to completion, ensuring long-term profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in project estimating within construction or manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with Bluebeam/HeavyBid or similar estimating tools.
• Strong negotiation and clear communication skills with vendors and clients.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Solid understanding of cost-control techniques and contract basics.

Responsibilities

• Build the blueprint for profitability by analyzing blueprints, specs, and docs to develop airtight estimates.
• Master the math by detailing labor, materials, equipment, and overhead for proposals.
• Lead strategic negotiations with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to keep budgets on track.
• Stay ahead of market trends by monitoring labor rates and material costs to keep bids realistic.
• Mitigate risk early by spotting cost discrepancies, contract risks, or scope gaps.
• Drive project success by partnering with PMs to monitor spend against estimates throughout the lifecycle.
