Job summary

Aspenational is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator for an on-site, full-time role in Austin, TX. You will analyze blueprints and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates and collaborate with project teams to secure competitive pricing.

You will develop labor, material, equipment, and overhead breakdowns, negotiate with subcontractors, and monitor costs throughout projects, ensuring accuracy and timely records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction management and cost control.
• Proficient in estimating software such as Bluebeam or similar.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs and bid documents with attention to detail.
• Experience with public and private bidding processes.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather pricing data.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions impacting costs.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Monitor costs against estimates and implement cost control measures.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence.
