Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Director-level Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across Operations, IT, and PMO, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and successful delivery. You will partner with senior leadership and government stakeholders, drive governance, define scope and CSFs, manage resources and risk, and coach project teams toward execution excellence.

The role emphasizes executive presence and complex program delivery in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field with at least 9 years in project management; 7+ years leading large projects.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.
• Master’s in PM and PMP certification preferred.
• Navigate ambiguity with strong cross-functional leadership.
• Governance, risk and stakeholder management proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects across Operations, IT, PMO and other areas.
• Partner with senior leadership and CMS stakeholders with executive presence.
• Provide strategic direction and influence stakeholders to drive decisions.
• Define scope, requirements, CSFs and governance structures.
• Develop and oversee PM plans including resource, risk, quality, cost and schedules.
• Coordinate vendor partnerships, SLAs, and implementation activities.
• Establish quality gates and training plans to support delivery.
• Coach and mentor project teams on methodologies and best practices.
