Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Project Delivery Director to drive project delivery, commercial management, and quality performance across the U.S. This leader partners with PMs, operations, finance, and legal to ensure successful outcomes from opportunity development through closeout.

The role implements US delivery processes and governance, coordinating with the Director of Project Governance & Execution. The position can sit in any WSP USA office.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project delivery or operations leadership; recent project management experience preferable.
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, contracts, margins, risk allocation, change management, claims avoidance, and recovery planning.
• Strong understanding of quality management practices, including QA/QC planning, independent technical reviews, design reviews, technical assurance, lessons learned, and client satisfaction feedback loops.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery leadership across regions, developing and deploying training for project management success.
• Build and lead a project delivery team to support project managers in all regions.
• Review PM and PD performance to determine needs for support or replacement.
• Communicate new policies and ensure adoption by project managers.
• Monitor KPIs on project delivery, including margin erosion and DLM.
• Oversee commercial management including contract reviews, risk allocation and change management.
• Provide governance for subconsultant and subcontractor commercial management and claims support.
• Lead or support RDOA submission and governance reviews where needed.
• Monitor Work at Risk governance and ensure proper approvals.
• Champion QA/QC across delivery; ensure independent technical reviews and design reviews are built into plans.
