Job summary

Titan Electric is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead forecasting, scheduling, risk management, and financial controls across multiple offices. You will own CTC/CAC forecasting, budgets, and vendor spend while partnering with operations, finance, and field leadership to protect margins.

You will build dashboards, drive tool adoption, and develop a scalable project controls function that delivers accurate data, actionable insights, and reliable performance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive project controls or project management experience
  • Leadership experience managing people, processes, or both
  • Commercial construction experience
  • Direct experience within electrical contracting or MEP construction environments

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing project budgets, cost coding, and forecasting practices
  • Driving accurate Cost-To-Complete (CTC) and Cost-At-Completion (CAC) forecasting
  • Analyzing labor productivity, equipment costs, purchasing performance, and subcontractor spend
  • Identifying margin risk before it becomes margin loss
  • Challenging assumptions and improving forecast accuracy
  • Helping leaders make informed financial decisions
  • Establish scheduling discipline across the organization
  • Develop baseline, recovery, and as-built schedules
  • Establish company scheduling standards
  • Evaluate critical path risk and schedule impacts
  • Assist teams with delay analysis and claims support
  • Improve consistency in schedule reporting
  • Ensure progress updates reflect actual field conditions
  • Be the business owner for project management platforms and workflows
  • Drive adoption of project management tools
  • Partner with Operations and IT on system improvements
  • Create training programs and implementation plans
  • Measure adoption across locations
  • Reduce rework caused by inconsistent workflows
  • Help field and project teams maximize technology investments
  • Identify problems before they become emergencies
  • Work with Operations, Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Finance Leaders, and Executive Leadership
  • Identify Schedule risk, Labor risk, Procurement risk, Staffing risk, Financial risk, Execution risk
  • Help leadership understand what could go wrong—and what needs to happen next
  • Build executive dashboards and track portfolio performance
  • Produce KPI and trend analysis
  • Monitor cash flow and margin exposure
  • Support preconstruction and bid strategy efforts
  • Develop reporting structures leadership uses
  • Hire and develop future team members
  • Coach project teams
  • Establish standards
  • Create accountability
  • Drive continuous improvement
