Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to apply schedule, cost control, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced design and construction environment. You will provide project controls expertise to improve program delivery and may manage staff, coordinating with program management staff.

The role emphasizes CPM scheduling, cost management, and collaboration across multi‑discipline capital programs, with location options in California and a pathway to San Francisco or San Diego offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial analysis, budget management, and/or project cost.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage project controls within the Stantec PM Framework and coordinate with Program Project Manager.
• Provide guidance on initiation activities such as Oracle setup, intercompany agreements, and sub-contracting.
• Lead internal project management and forecasting.
• Develop and implement project controls standards and monitoring compliance.
• Prepare program and project financial reports.
