Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to apply schedule, cost control, and communication skills in a fast-paced design and construction environment. The role provides project controls expertise to improve program delivery and may include staff management.

You will coordinate with program management staff, lead forecasting, and develop controls standards for multiple projects. Strong proficiency in Excel, Office, and SharePoint is expected, with a focus on delivering accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, budget management, and/or project cost.
• Experience with CPM scheduling systems and document control systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cost management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Stantec PM Framework in coordination with the Program Project Manager.
• Provide guidance for project initiation activities including Oracle setup and sub-contracting.
• Lead internal project management and project forecasting.
• Develop and implement project controls standards and procedures; monitor compliance.
• Prepare reports on program/project financial position.
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractors; resolve invoicing issues.
• Maintain multi-year baseline budget and track expenditures while reporting status.
