Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to apply schedule, cost control, and communication skills in a fast-paced design and construction environment. This role provides project controls expertise to improve program delivery and may involve staff management and coordination with program management staff.

Qualifications

• Passion for excellence, continuous improvement, and professional project management.
• Recent experience managing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget development and monitoring of cost and schedule.
• Experience with cost management services including planning, earned value, forecasting, reporting, cash-flow maintenance, and change management.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a project team setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls tasks in line with the PM framework and coordinate with Program Project Manager.
• Guide PMs on initiation activities such as Oracle setup, intercompany agreements, and sub-contracting.
• Lead internal project management and project forecasting.
• Develop project controls standards and ensure compliance.
• Forecast task order expenditures and monitor budgets.
• Prepare program and project financial reports and QA/QC of budgets and ETC updates.
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to resolve invoicing or contracting issues.
